  • Melese Menber Import, Export &Associates is a sole proprietorship business that was registered and established under the Ethiopian law and obtained its legal personality on 05/12/2007 E.C (August 11/2015 G.C)in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
  • The company has strong financial resources and has the experience working with different domestics banks. It has also experienced and qualitied personnel who are dedicated to an enhanced competitive advantage and improved organizational performance.
  • The company started its business activities with an initial capital of Birr 2,000.000 with 3 employees. Currently the company is operating with more than 30 permanent employees.

ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT

ORGANIZATION

The company is organized in such a way that there has a General Manager at the apex of the hierarchical adder followed by a D/General Manager. Under direct supervision of the D/General Manager, there are three functionally related departments Finance and Administration Commercial and Technical departments where all of them run the day-to-day operation of the business under direct supervision from the D/General Manager.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

The company has grown drastically every year and its sale increased from EIB 23 million in 2016/17(2009 EC)to ETB 373 million in 2019/20(2012 EC) Then, the company has penetrated the market and is able to obtain and increase its market share. During the past four years the export sales, on average constitute 86% It grew more than 7 times from /17(2009 EC) to 2019/20(2012E.C). Thus, during this four years, the company has contributed a foreign currency of USD 15,896,300.00 to the country The company has created an employment opportunity for more than 30 citizens.
